|
|
I have a BMW tank bag on my K1100. It's a nice bag, but the quasi-elastic straps that stretch down and clip onto the bottom of the tank are both pretty threadbare and about to give.
Has anyone had to repair one of these? I'm guessing I march around to upholstery shops but I'm open to suggestions! I am sewing-adverse, myself. If it can't be fixed with spray foam or duct tape, well...forgetaboutit

Please resize your images to a reasonable size so we can see them without having to scroll all over the place
The Duck recommends a max width of 700px - see http://k11og.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5894 for hints and tips _________________ David, owner of:

Dude - looks like mine. I have been thinking either an upholstery or luggage repair shop in that order. _________________ 2012 R1200RT Midnight Blue

Wow, nice bags and awesome custom features. I wish I had $300 to drop on one. I guess my $10 Ollie's Bell bag will have to do for now.... _________________ Steve

I used my multivario for twelve years and never had the straps deteriorate. The secret is to simply unhook them at the end of the day. After you get them repaired, unhook them and they'll last pretty much forever. _________________ Paul - '93 K11/12RS (sold), 2002 R1100S BCP and '03 RC51 KOG 29 |
