That a way to keep it in the family. Cool

If you're serious about needing a rear wheel I'll probably have one for sale in the near future. Drop me a PM if interested...

I was watching this one, it was up for sale at the same time as mine, but I didn't see the closing price. Nice deal, man. Especially with that Ohlins.

Only 8700 miles I sold mine at near that price with 87,000.
Nice deal.

Vehicle Description

1993 K1100RS with a 2000 K1200LT engine. The bike has 112K miles on it with 35K on the engine. It has Luftmeister fork springs and an Ohlins shock. ABS removed and braided brake line installed on the front with EBC HH pads. Throttlemeister and heated grips. Accessory socket. Silk blue with a black Sargent seat. Wheels powder coated gloss black. Have belly pan. Brand new Michelin PR2CT on the back. The front PR is about half gone. Run-n-lites K-tail-2 tail light enhanced.

There is a small dent on the side of the tank and a small retouched scratch on the back of it. There is a crack on the left side of the fairing about 2 inches long that you can barely see. I have no idea how it got there or when. I just discovered it one day. Otherwise it has the usual road speckles that you expect a much ridden bike to have. The fuel quantity sending unit is kaput. Always garaged and for the last five years climate controlled. Overall it’s in really nice shape and people still remark on it. Never crashed.

Comes with Integral cases with nearly new mounting rails, Haynes service manual and the original owner’s manual.

I’m the second owner and bought the bike in 1997 with 8200 miles on it. Maintenance records on CD.

Duck, that's a SWEET deal!

Except for the stock seat. After riding less than 1,500 to get my red one home I was having to stop every hour and a half due to butt pain. I couldn't see myself riding 3,000 miles home so I shipped out a Corbin today to install when I get there. Shipping a Corbin there and the stocker back home will be the most worthwhile $50 I ever spent.

I recently found a local guy who will do complete recovers for <$200. I plan to have that stock seat reshaped and recovered.

Way to go Duck.! Wink

I bought a 1993 RS [Red] in MINT condition [ but overheating problems ]for the same reason - the wheels. Laughing

Having ridden my stock K1100RS for a year, I wanted the same quality brakes and wider rubber on my K100 projects. Wheels on UK E-bay around £200 a pair and front forks / brakes another £200 - the bike cost me £280 [ $450 ? ] and the "overheating problem" was down to the fan switch not working! The engine was absolutely sweet. Reee-sult. Laughing

Not only have I now got a shedload of excellent spares for my stocker, but ALL the parts to upgrade my K100 AND I made £590 from the sale of the spare fairing, panniers/top box, ABS, heated grips and seat! Very Happy

TJ
