Is is soft rubber or harder plastic?

1/4" OD or ID.

I removed a 6" piece that was a vent drain for the original liquid lead acid battery. It wasn't hooked up to anythin on either end near the rear of the battery.
It wasn't quite 1/4" though.

1/4" ID and soft. First thing I thought of was a battery drain, but the bike has a gel type.

To your point, maybe it was just left over when the battery was replaced.

That's the vital spline cooling tube. You'll have to tear it apart to refit. Laughing

Looks like the tubing that goes over the battery hold down bolt.

I'm not falling for that, ask your granddaughter to use spline in a sentence other than relating to a K Bike. Laughing
