k1100rsr, Thanks to the rider from Norway for the pictures. How cold is it when this is going on?
There is another post somewhere I saw today about Brrrrrrrrrrr...cold and these folks were talking 40 degree limits. Bet Norway beats that!!!!!!!!!! Just looked at the pictures again. With snow on the ground its got to be colder then 32F.

Ok, you people from Norway are my official heroes.

That might be the most insanely fun thing I have ever seen. And the bikes with their modifications look really cool. I would love to have an enduro like a Dakar in conditions like that.

OK! That takes balls! WOW! Somehow, I just can't picture riding around in temps that low - and camping out in all that snow. Yeah, it looks like fun in a way - but I'm not sure I'm cut out for it. Although I guess it's just the flip side of me riding around the west and southwest in the hottest parts of the summer...

I looked, perhaps missed, seening any K11 bikes with HANDGUARDS that I might be able to purchase. So far, have had many suggestions about handguards, but no one here in the USA has told me that they have actually installed what they are recommending, on a K1100LT or RS.
