Anyone have a linky to where I could buy them at a decent price online?
Tried Bobs (groan) but I think hes a bit overpriced at 42$ a wire.

Also, what is the exact wiring schematic from coil(?) to plugs?

I think they were wrong to begin with so I do not want to use the existing wires as a reference.

Grid,

I take it the fuel filter didnt help the problem? I like the stock Beru wires a lot, but they are not cheap. If I was trying to save money and still get a good quality wire I would go to Magnecor.com the wire options you would have are 40210, 47210 and 45210. I have used their stuff in VW's and was always pleased. The above wires are sold as sets at around 1/2 the cost as the Beru's.

Naw I should update that thread.

Turns out the plugs were actually loose in the cylinders. No 2 actually had a bit of gas/oil weeping from the plug insertion.

Yes, I know. I am purchasing a torque wrench tomorrow. Embarassed

(yes I put the Boschs in myself)

I popped the NGKs in, but amazingly the NGKs did not come with the top "cap" of the plug...was hoping to screw off the boschs and use those....but alas the Bosch are seated into the actual plug, not simply screwed on a protruding bolt as with the NGKs.

I was supremely pissed at this point and there is a huge snowstorm heading this way this weekend, so I figured I would leave it for a bit until I get the right equipment.

Given the problems in the past I have had with arcing and hesitation, I figure why not pony up for a new set of wires.....since I have already came to the conclusion that the K will stay in my stable for a long, long time.

Thanks for the link to the Magnecor site....looks interesting. Are those reference numbers specific to our bikes? I didn't see any reference to any motorcycles, much less BMWs. Do I have to send them an email?

*Update*

Checked the plugs today, and it turns out all 4 of them were loose the the cylinders...2 of them I could spin by hand.

Think I found my problem. Embarassed

The numbers I gave you are for complete sets specific to 4valve K's and our K11's. I am glad you found the problem, get a good torque wrench too, I like spending your money Laughing

But you usually get what you pay for. The wires from the above site are very good quality, I think the middle of the road ones were $80.00 a set.

Plugs are cheap enough.

@Dom 80 is a bargain...was expecting 150 or so.

Last question....anyone have the schematic of the wiring diagram?
