There was a lengthy loss of service here in UK, nearly 2 weeks, - do we know what the problem/cause is/was? Just asking.

It wasn't just the UK, the forum was down all that time. I offered to be of help but I never got any answer.

No - we think it was something on the back end that got updated, and caused the forum to drop out. The site was still working. Ted (site/forum) owner contacted the provider - they had it fixed in minutes. Partly my bad - I was fairly busy - took me awhile to contact Ted - who was swamped with hurricane Laura stuff.

Sorry, Fly - didn't see your offer - not sure where you sent it.

The backend is part of the service, if the service is unreachable, it's down. Smile

I guess those emails go to Ted - doubt he was checking that mailbox.

The version of php we're running is many generations old - surprised it works at all.
