I guess I missed this part in previous posts.......
If I'm not mistaken, the system is designed to cut fuel flow under the circumstances you just described.
There is a throttle position switch on the end of #4 TB, so when the system sees a closed throttle AND rpm's OVER 2500 it is supposed to cut off fuel until either: throttle is opened again, or rpm's drop under 2500.
Sounds like you may be experiencing a non-problem, or rather expected operation. _________________ Ride safe.

Yes, but as you stated, the system is also supposed to restore fuel supply before the engine dies completely and the oil and charge light light up necessitating a restart. And, before you ask, the TPS test perfect.
I appreciate your input, but you might want to read the thread before posting. |

No worries. I'm just frustrated with trying to track down this problem. |

You might try balancing the throttle bodies. _________________ '93 K1100LT

Just wondering if your bike has the vacuum control to the fuel regulator if its faulty and not dropping the pressure on a chopped throttle maybe its flooding....

Maybe you've got her fixed by now, but if not, another idea might be the throttle position sensor which is a simple adjustment. _________________ '93 K1100LT

Just an update, the problem continues, but I got tired of trying to find it for now. All it takes is a slight change in riding style to never allow it to happen. Other than that one annoying issue, the bike runs great. I'm sure I'll get back to trying to track it down one of these days. I did find one slight vacuum leak around the number 3 intake tube, so I need to address that.
I'm not sure about the vacuum control to fuel regulator suggestion. I don't even know where to look for that, but I'll check into it. TPS was the first thing checked, it tested perfect.
Thanks for all the suggestions. _________________ '93 K1100LT, '89 R100GS |

The fuel pressure regulator on the 1100's don't use vacuum. _________________ Ride safe.
