So today I installed my new rear master cylinder for the RS. All was well and the rear brake works again! Now the brake warning light is not going off and the rear brake is not activating the brake light. I am thinking it is something with the switch. I checked and the little touch pad is clearing when the brake is applied.

Is there any easy was of testing the switch with it still on the bike? I had a heck of a time getting all together by myself.

Thanks in advance!

Have you read this? To test the brake light switch, you'll need a multimeter with a continuiity tester. The switch is connected to the harness under the right battery cover. Undo the connector and test the continuity between the exposed terminals on the wire leading to the switch. When the brake pedal is in the normal position, there should be open circuit (no continutiy). When the brake gets applied, there should be continutiy (short circuit or very low ohm reading). If your brake check indicator is lit all the time, the switch is not releasing properly, meaning probably an adjustment.

The fix was even easier. At some point the wire had become unplugged. 2 second fix. Embarassed
