So my 94 K1100 LT has a Security system that my little clicker thing doesn't work anymore. Which is no big deal....but...it occasionally decides I am stealing it. Horns honk, it won't start, and I have to then screw with it, and it eventually clears and runs.

Leaving on a trip tomorrow... Friday.....would love to disconnect this before I end up stranded somewhere. Does anyone know which wires need reconnected so I can just cut the thing out?

Thanks

Ken.

I understand that an anti-theft system shouldn't let it start, but I can't find anything in the factory wiring schematics that shows any connection to either fuel shutoff or ign cutoff to prevent the bike from starting.

The alarm system connector should be located in the relay box under the fuel tank.

Terminal 1 input switched power thru fuse #7 green/brown
Terminal 2 input unswitched power thru fuse #4 red/grey
Terminal 3 output to horns green/grey
Terminal 4 ground brown.

Thanks Scott

It definitely doesn't allow it to start. I took it for a ride last night, and all was well, so maybe it was a low battery.

Headed to those wild and wonderful colorado twisties....slowly. I am sure there is gravel EVERYWHERE after last weekends snow.

If you got the OEM alarm for the LT with a separate control box, motion detector and siren inside the ducktail
...when activated it disables the fuel pump and starter.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To disable the immobilizer...

The connector for the fuel pump you find under the RHS battery cover, disconnect the wiring that goes to the alarm
....and then reconnect the connector from the tank to the one at the main harness.

The starter relay you find rear, RHS in the relay box....same again....disconnect the starter relay signal wires that goes to the alarm
....and then reconnect the starter relay connector at the main harness to the starter relay.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To remove the complete alarm system, just follow the wiring from the alarm and disconnect.......
then reconnect the the various connectors at the main harness, where you see these are just looped back to the alarm
.....it's several connectors in the relay box and under the tank + R/L flashers.
