Gidday Folks,
Just looking for a right side storage compartment lid from the fairing of an 1993 K1100LT..
You just name your price and naturally me being a careful middle aged motorcyclist with a wife, two teenage (wallet draining) kids, one designer fluffy dog and a crazy over weight cat to feed will counter offer with an absurd and ridiculous lower price than you requested, a few more PM's will be sent back and forth over a period of days, generating even more distrust between us both, even more so when the subject of postage is raised with wording tossed about like "ship, airmail, registered, non registered, express post" etc etc, until your very same original price is agreed upon and both parties can sit back smiling, just joking!
So can you please check your parts bin or your spare parts cupboard out in the shed, oh and don't be afraid of postage to down here to Australia, it isn't that bad really..... _________________ Cheers Grant

Hey Grant,
Check the front and back of that shop manual, I'm pretty sure I jotted down the numbers and descriptions of the parts you will need.
There are 2 short pins that are required to make the stupid lid latch down and the gasket/seal is worth the money, although not required.
I forgot to order the pins the first time and found that an 8d nail was the right diameter, so I cut my own pins. Second, and third times I ordered the pins. Finally learnt to check that danged lid every time I close it!

Yea, what you get with that part # is JUST the lid. no latching hardware, gasket or keylock........just FYI. BTDT.
A few years ago I added a radio buck and acc to my '97 but it didn't come with the lid. So I ordered the lid, and that's exactly what I got----the lid. I had to transfer the other stuff from the old one to the new one.
You can check the parts fiche to see if/what more you might need. It's located in section 46. _________________ Ride safe.

Gidday folks,
Many thanks for the info once again and also I looked @ motobins in the UK last night and their listed lid looked very different to mine.
My left hand side lid seems to have a large domed curved top and not just flat like the motobins one for sale? is this to do with the radio being in the left side compartment which is now removed from the bike.
Talk to you soon.
Also Bill again thanks for passing on the info and I will look at the manual tonight when I get home from work. _________________ Cheers Grant

True, the domed top gives clearance for the radio buttons and such. That doesn't mean that the domed top won't fit an empty bucket, just lets you put more stuff in it......
The part # that I posted was for the right side flat cover. _________________ Ride safe.
