Bike's Only done 68,000 miles but as mentioned earlier on here, some 16 years old. On holiday in Ireland (Galway Bay). Got the K out, only rode a mile, front brake sticking on. Turned around, brake free, puddle behind front wheel. Found perished brake hose at T between forks. MOT (safety) tested 3 months ago. Hope I can get one in the morning.
Got some Yanks in the Hotel, it's 29 Celsius, they're whingeing about not having air Con.
Hope it cools down so our bowlers can sort out the Aussies at Trent Bridge
Sits back & waits for Drikko _________________ Regards Tim,

Tim,
Sorry about your brakes- hope you get them sorted.
I do understand that OZ and drikko are having a bit of a problem

Looks like we've managed to find another bowler who was hiding down the back of the couch to bat for us.... how embarrassing!
Hope you find your brake hose!! Brakes are overrated BTW, they just slow you down..... _________________ K1100RS '97

Thanks for the kind words gents, bike was back together & bled before Mid-day, thanks to a company called Pirtek, who made me a hose to pattern for €25 (£20 UK) , put another 80 miles on. So hot here, the road tar is melting in places, a sphincter twitching ride.
I thought "batting for the other side" meant something completely different. _________________ Regards Tim,

I think it requires a composite repair. First wrap with black plastic electrical tape than a wrap of duct tape. _________________ 1993 K1100LT

We are, that's why no heat shrink. It would shrink down into all the cracks and look fugly. The duct tape smooths it all out and makes it look like a pro repair.
On another note, they now make clear duct tape for home repairs. Soup bowls, mirrors, windows, furniture and such. _________________ 1993 K1100LT
