hello i am about to replace my radio on my k1100lt with an aftermarket one my problem is how do i get to the wires in the radio compartment my manual does not show how to get the comparment out can any one help

it's held in place by 3 spring clips. To release insert a small screwdriver or nail ( I used a 12 penny nail) in the holes located at the top, bottom and side to release the clips.

the 3 holes are at 6 o-clock bottom edge, 9 o-clock left edge and 12 o-clock top edge. _________________ Ride safe.
