I was working behind the instrument cluster, installing my Eastern Beaver headlight harness and found this little plug dangling. Everything's still working so I don't think I snagged anything while pulling wires through. I assume it's for an accessory on the K11LT. Electric windscreen plug maybe?
Sorry for the poopiness of the first shot. Trying to preview pictures on my little digital is a little bit worthless.

That doesn't look like a BMW oem plug to me. I'm thinking something aftermarket that a PO might have installed.
I've been in/around, behind the front of both of my LT's have not seen any plug looking like that. _________________ Ride safe.

I'm with Scott.
With those small openings it looks to be a plug for some sort of electronics (radio or nav system?).
Certainly something that draws very little electricity. _________________ John & Cathy

| It's what the Flux Capacitor plugs into. |

+1, Scott.
The wiring diagram for the Flux Capacitor have earlier been posted on this forum, and is found here.

Ok, now y'all have me wanting to chase down the wires but I'll wait until next time I'm fiddling around behind the cluster. I don't want to disturb wires/connectors on an 18 year old bike unless I have to. Chasing electrical gremlins is one of my least-favorite activities. _________________ 1994 K1100RS

When and if that time comes, do yourself favor and take the fairing off. It's a whole lot easier than trying to work in that gap between the fairing and the front end of the bike. _________________ '02 - GL1800

I clean all the available connections and grease them every time I work on the bike. So far I haven't had a problem other than the fuel gauge/pump connector under the tank burning out - and there is nothing one can do to prevent that. _________________ Jim
