|
|
Hi all...
Some time ago I asked the group here about "where one could find ABS2 repair" and the answer was "some guy in Japan does ABS brain repairs I think".. well I contacted him just recently about such repair and, as you know if you ever visited his website, he has limited himself up until now to ABS1 'brain' repair. However, he researched the ABS2 because of increasing number of queries coming from "K" and "R" bike owners and told me that he has just gotten an ABS2 controller for study. IF/WHEN he decides that he can correctly diagnose and repair these - about a month he estimates - he is going to let me know. He told me that should he be successful, the repair cost wold be 20000 Yen or appx 240 USD.. This is just the Controller and NOT the hydro unit !!
So thats a bit of info for us here at K11OG should he be successful. I'll keep us posted as to the outcome.
Best regards all, ride safe..........// Ernie in NH _________________ AMA,, American Deaf Bikers

Thanks for the research Ernie.
I now have a foot in each camp- one bike with ABS I and the other has ABS II.

I gotta learn more about these machines! My ABS issues are costing me too much money!
By "controller" do you mean the Motronic unit? _________________ Scot

The "Motoronic" is the fuel injection control unit that sits on top of the battery on ABS2 bikes.
The ABS2 "controller" is attatched to the side of the ABS Hydro unit on the left side of the bike. _________________ Ride safe.
