Saw this YPAN in the parking lot of Caesars Head State Park today. According to Google the YPAN is a Ural Ranger. Interesting bike!

Hi,
The letters you quoted, YPAN, are obviously Cyrillic on the bike. The Cyrillic spelling of "URAL" is close to, but not exactly "YPAN". _________________ Ride Safe,

A Ural is on my short dreamlist, maybe #2 or #3. They are so pleasantly simple and rugged.
I want one to take the kids and dog out on, right now neither are allowed on the K.
That's a beautiful paint job on that one... _________________ Steve

Phil,
I wish I'd taken a closer pic of the badge, but it certainly looked like YPAN. I assumed it to be an English version of the name as you say. Although we've never met, I've read and enjoyed many of your posts. I hope all is going well with you and am sending positive thoughts your way.
