My sister sent me this old pic. My 1978 R100/7 with and RS fairing. That's me & my nephew Michael - had to be around 1980 or 81
I know - what a "cool" dude !!

Cool photo, Steve. Don't see many /7's with a RS fairing. Did you buy it that way?
Here's a scan of my '78 R100/7 back in 1989 in SE South Dakota, south of Sioux Falls on Hwy 77. The sky in the original print was washed out. What you see is a early attempt to Photoshop some color in there. Bike has a Luftmeister fairing on it....
Here's how 'old Eddie' looks today, at the Talimena Scenic Drive....

The original bike was red & silver with no fairing. I had the bike painted and had the fairing put on at the same time. Had about 86,000 miles on it when I sold it and got my K bike.

Thanks guys, I'll always remember my first Beemer, I thought the black & gold was sweet. One of my old police buds painted it for me - pretty good job, he needed the practice, so the price was right..
