It was a hot one but it was a great one. I had a hard time getting there once the fan on my K11LT went but I made it there. Got to the rally site on Mon and had the bike apart waiting for the new fan motor to arrive. A few people from the K11OG stopped by to see if every thing was OK and we had some nice conversations. Fan arrived on Wed but with the heat the bike was not put back together till Fri. Hard to work in 105 degree heat. Bike rode great on the ride home and we got home safe so in my book that makes it a great rally. It was great meeting a few of you in person and I look foward to future events were we can see each other again.

My riding pals and I were at the rally and rode the 1600. Wow, 35 minute ride, lots of twisty roads, opportunity to accelerate from 85 to _ _ _ in short order, quite a machine.

Most import use of gearbox is for deceleration, with flat torque curve and rev range, you don't have to shift much.
