Be prepared for a lot of traffic and road congestion. A few years back I went to the visitor center at Cape Canerval for a launch, it took well over an hour just to get back to the mainland. Thing were no better on the mainland.
O'Bama is going to be there so I suspect traffic will be much worse then ususl. My recommendation would be to watch the launch from a beach on the mainland.
Have fun, be safe, and enjoy our sun shine and sandy beachs.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be viewing the launch from a little known causeway on the mainland. No traffic to speak of... _________________ Lifes too short to ride an ugly Motorcycle |

I would have liked to see that once in my lifetime but I guess it's the last one, right? _________________ I am not a number, I am a free man.

I suppose some will have to decide: shuttle launch, wedding? choices, choices.........
Heaven know's that they will both be all over the news tomorrow anyway.
I won't have to worry about either one as I'm going to be a motorcycle safety forum workshop all day. _________________ Ride safe.

There is still one more schuttle launch from what I understand, different shuttle, and there has to be something to take their place, or wait for Brandson to start selling flights. Don't know I get a link with flights also with tickets. _________________ 1995 K1100RS

Well I'm back home. Shuttle launch was scrubed. They said maybe Monday. I don't like maybe's so I came home. I did have a nice 900 mile ride though. The old Brick ran great, and got 42 mph. _________________ Lifes too short to ride an ugly Motorcycle |

Wow, all that way at 42mph!! That's 21 hours of riding! Must have been boring at that speed! _________________ K1100RS '97
