Since the K is rather challenging to mount a GPS unit to, I came up with this solution.[/img] _________________ Living with a German builds character.

Great solution! I just might add a Ram mount to my tank bag. _________________ 2000 R1100RT

Here is where I got it:
http://motorcycle.motorcycle-superstore.com/search?ts=m&w=Gps
Its a Cortech item designed for their Dryver bag.
I removed the straps, drilled 4 mounting holes in the U-shaped bracket, drilled 4-holes in the front of the bag and mounted using stainless pan head screws, large washers and nylock nuts. I also added two black wire looms to the right screws for the power cable which runs under the right bag mount strap.
Neat, sweet, petite _________________ Living with a German builds character.

Garmin 60 cx, great unit, all buttons, no touch screen. Works with gloves and totally by feel. _________________ 1993 K1100LT (116,000 miles and counting)
