I'm obviously not mature or controlled enough to avoid performance rewards with my new K1100 sidecar rig.
I've read thru the cruise control threads here and it seems there are a couple options.
Which cruise control do I want?
(and holy smokes- what do these things do without a 250 lbs of steel bolted to their side?) _________________ 1993 K1100LT

1) Either the vacuum or electronic cruise will work fine.
2) They go really fast... and far... these bikes have a need for speed. _________________ Jim

I've had very good results with the audiovox, assuming you can still find one of these units for sale somewhere. I put the vacuum canister under the seat, not in the toolkit compartment. Works a treat. '97 K1100.
Thanks to those of you who went before and actually documented with web pages how you did the install. PM me before you pass through Eugene, a beer awaits you. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

I bought a Audiovox from a guy that had it on a K100. I was going to put it on my K1100, but never got around to it. I paid him $75.00 for it. I'll take $75.00 plus shipping. If anyone is interested just E-Mail me at snapgadget@ftc-i.net Just put Cruise Control in the subject. PS I've got the directions also. _________________ Lifes too short to ride an ugly Motorcycle |
