Should that be readily available at my local "Auto Parts" store? _________________ "Still can't find 6th gear" 94 K1100LT |

Stu - if the gas there has ethanol added, I hope you are using BLUE Stabil - not RED.
If you can find Startron anywhere in your area (boat dealers usually stock it) - I like it a lot better than Stabil for storage.
Another good cleaner is Sea Foam - might be easier to find than Techron. _________________ Jim

The Sta-bil blue is loaded with cleaners, I have been running that in the gas as I took the bike through the winter with rides every 2 weeks or so. Last couple tanks I have run Startron, for kicks and giggles.
Both seem to have worked exceedingly well. _________________

I didn't even know that there was a blue Stabil
I assume it's okay to add the Techron to my tank that still has Stabil in it. _________________ "Still can't find 6th gear" 94 K1100LT |

I get Startron from Farm & Fleet up here in WI.
Mixing the Techron with Stabil has not caused issues in my 93 RS.
Stabil blue works fine in the bike. I use Startron on anything that may not run for a yea or more. Like my generator.
I run out the old fuel, my last fill up prior to yesterday was around Thanksgiving.
I start adding the Techron now to keep things clean. _________________ 1993 K1100RS that I'd rather be riding FAST!

There was a problem with red Stabil and gas with ethanol. Stabil might have fixed that, but the blue Stabil was always good with ethanol.
Yes, it's OK to add the Techron. _________________ Jim
