Reach for the nearest book to you, open it to page 56 and write down the 5th sentence, don't tell anyone what book it is see if anyone can guess.
My sentence is................'Hastily, Paulette made the transition from Jewish rebel into the law abiding Catholic schoolgirl, Marie-Therese.

I had developed the habit of using the autopilot while motoring, but under sail I would hand steer for about an hour then connect the autopikot for a short break whike I marked Pluto's position on the chart or walked around the deck to check the sails and stretch my legs.

I think mine may be an old version - Second Edition, no publishing date but a copyright of 1988. The original version was 1978 Exclamation

Very nice, I use it in my Forensic Science classes. Up this week: Blood Spatter
Using the girls room by the football field as a mock crime scene, should be messy and fun!

From page 56;
"As young as she is, she speaks many words tolerably distinctly; and being plain-spoken in other respects, blunt and to the point, she opens conversation with all strangers male or female, with the same formula, 'How do, Jim?'."

Actual fifth would be "But I find I have wandered from my subject; so, without further argument, I will reiterate my conviction that not all babies are things of beauty and joys forever."

(Fitting from a Missouri lad, don't you think?)
