Not a K bike, but an interesting little video I found on ADV about lots of miles on a 600cc Honda. Take care on most machinery and it takes care of you.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=gs8I8fYNNG0

Wish I had the time to put 33,000+ miles/year on ANY bike. But if a CBR600 will turn 200k, someone with enough time could put 1,000,000 miles on a K?

Yeah, the only problem is that most bikes won't be lucky enough to survive a million miles. Paul Glaves' "Old Smokey" K75 only made it to about 350k before some left turning hag took it out of commission.

FD,

I guess any bike's life could be ended by some moron in a cage.

Many of us (Audi's crunch appears to be a relatively minor one?) will get lots of miles on our K's.

We can only hope that some K75/K100/K1100 bikes reach 750,000 or even 1,000,000 miles.

Maybe??

John

Hi,
Reno del Ben has somewhere between 700k and 800k on his K75, and it is still running fine.

Phil is correct about Ben:

Ben checks in with KBMW every now and again with info and hints and now its 716K and that was a while ago.

He does put a blob of Honda Moly in the tranny at oil change and has had one head service.

K will easily do the 1K,K miles, that's 1,600,000 kms in euro speak Wink

Great motor, well maintained, go pretty much forever Very Happy

I have over 200K miles on my Mitsu 4x4 van on LPG..

Touch Wood Very Happy
