| I am considering buying a K bike that has a Luftmeister exhaust and chip. I have always kept my bikes stock with regard to pipes and etc so this is a new subject for me. Can someone help me with information as to whether the Leftmeister equipment is a good thing? I have heard that the Luftmeister pipes are really loud which is not what I want. Thanks for the info you might be able to provide. |

You could always sell it for big coin and get a nice used exhaust. _________________

Hi T (I'm not calling anyone Daddy) - welcome to K11! I don't know how loud Lufty exhausts are - but, like Ted says, you could easily sell it and buy stock. _________________ Jim

| I thought about selling it and replacing it with stock, however, if it would be advantageous to have it on the bike I could live with it. What does the chip do for the bike? Thanks |

Supposedly, the exhaust and chip give you more hp... I think you'd have to see it on a dyno to know for sure. I wouldn't let the fact that it's on there stop me from buying it. If it's too loud, I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling it. _________________ Jim

Thanks for the info guys. HP increase isn't important but I think I might give a shot at buying the bike. |

Here's Ted's buying guide: http://verrill.org/moto/kbikebuyingguide.shtml You might want to take a look at it.
