Until they develop a leak and you try to seal them back. Wink

Or try a magnetic tank bag on one of them. Shocked

Ok proceeding nicely but as holidays are over for now progress will be a bit slower. Confused

So this is a before and after shot of the tank internals....

and now....

I have also scored a new fuel filter (has same diameter as the BMW part but is slightly longer - has same intake tube size - cost $11) - old versus new below...

And also a new fuel pump - cost $40 from Oz ebay - brand new for GMH 4 and 6 cyl cars - old versus new below...

Oh yeh..and waiting on reconditioned injectors from US ebay for $100 - would have cost me that to get the current ones recond in Oz anyway.
Also have new tank decals from US ebay.

Very Happy Very Happy

GregRST - did you ever get a shop manual? A Clymer '85-'89 manujal came with my '91 and does not cover ABS so I bought a '85-'95 off a Flea Market (these FM's are dangerous!).

So if you still need one I'd be glad to send you the '85-'89. Holler if you want it.
