Hopefully around 9am - was thinking it would be fun to head up the parkway to Georgetown Pike, then up 7 to Leesburg. Sure beats the $5 Greenway!
You want to meet up? How about 9am at St. Elmo's coffee shop in Del Ray? _________________

All depends if I get up on time or not. If I see you in Leesburg, I see you... but don't wait around for me or anything.
Happy New Year! _________________ www.tidewaterforge.com |

Clearly, I am feckless and lazy. 1pm and still not dressed. Happy New Year, all! _________________ www.tidewaterforge.com |

Not to hijack the thread, but I will anyway, the local Hampton Roads ADV group had their annual NYD ride today. We still have snow on the ground and ice on some of the back roads, even though the temps got into the 60's today!
We did about 120 miles and had fun with a good BBQ lunch at the end. Now I can say I've ridden on snow and ice (not fun!), but it was a learning experience.
A few pics.
Although no one went down during our ride, one rider didn't get out of his neighborhood before dunping it on some ice and broke his shift lever, and another rider made it all the way until returning to his neighborhood and dumping it on some ice as well. I don't have any pictures of us riding in the ice/snow because we were all too busy not crashing to take any pics.
At one point we were riding behind a snowplow! (which is better than being in front of one!)
Happy New Year to everyone. _________________ Steve
