I have had the bike since 82k and have 109k on it now. No leaks from the forks. Seems to ride ok.

Is there a seal kit for the forks or change the fork oil? And while I am on it, I have a Fox shock on the rear. ANYONE KNOW WHO REBUILDS THESE or are seal kit s available for this also?

Again no issues but I like to be proactive on my maintenance and I have never addressed the suspension.

You could always do it yourself and save yourself $150 Smile

If not, this place seems to get good reviews:

When my forks started weeping I drained the fork oil. Recharged the forks with 1/2 10wt fork oil and 1/2 automatic transmission fluid.

After 1,000 miles I drained the forks. Recharged the forks with 15wt fork oil. I have not had a weeper in 90,000 miles on that particular K1100RS.

ATF is the racer's secret ingredient. Swells the seals against the forks.

Interesting. I wonder how much "Nitrogen Tank w/ Regulator" costs and where to get it.

I've got one out in the trailer for my drag bike...

Any welding supply place can set you up...deposit for the tank and the regulator will set you back a couple of hundred, but the gas is relatively inexpensive.... Very Happy

I remember that - the consensus if I am correct was that with a push of the button the thing would explode in a most spectacular fashion.

Meh, I'd say it's doable on a K1100. Probably want to beef up the head gasket and pray for your driveshaft though.

I have a new old stock NOS kit and a well used NOS kit that fits the K1004V.

I decided to turbo my K100 so i took one off and had another as a spare.

If you really want one. I can part with one of mine.

Qwen, I think they are talking about the mine explosion last week.
Another tragedy. My heart goes out to the families as well.
