So I buy a nice, used Corbin Dual Canyon seat for my 1997 K-LT based on the description that it will fit K-bikes till' 1997. When I get it it's plain to see that it will not fit at all; it's much larger than my stock seat in all respects, but shares the same general shape.
What the heck did I end up buying?!

Post some pics of the top and bottom. What model number is bubbled into the seat pan?

It's a K bike seat alright - but it's a low seat. Needs different mounting hardware.

Hmm, I have a hard time believing this seat can physically be attached to my LT. Take a look at how deep the sides are; I would have to remove the side covers to have the seat sit properly on the frame!

Yeah, I can tell from that sharp angle that it won't fit properly on an LT.

You can fit one to an LT. Somebody here had one. Probably an RS as well. But yes you have to ditch the side covers.

Some preliminary Googlin' netted only one picture, from the Corbin website of all places. Seems this is a K75/100 till' 1995 low seat. The site says it fits models with the 'lift-off' seat, not hinged.
What a f**kup on my part!!! Evil or Very Mad

Will it fit a 1993 or 1996 RS?

If so I would like to buy it.

Yes and no. Physically it does fit; I removed my side panels and dropped the seat on the bike. It fit perfectly, but as mentioned above, bracketry is different and will have to be mixed/matched. And I really don't like the guts of the bike peeking out from under the seat edge--I'm sure some experimental plastic trimming could lend some nice results.
Besides, I'm 6'4" with a 35" inseam and need all the standoff distance from the pegs that I can get. A low seat is NOT for me...

By the way, I see you're from Culpeper; my in-laws live right outside of Orange. Next time wer'e up, you might have to point out some good backroads!

I'm 5'3 w/ 29" inseam. I have to have a low seat.

Would you take a good pic or two of how it attaches?

Duck, will it work?

You bet!
It would by nice fix you guys a meal if you have time.

It is a Low Seat adn to use it you need to remove the side covers. I have a low seat on my K11LT but you will also need different mounting hardware for it.

I've got a 34" inseam so I've never had a low seat.

Phil's got a low seat on his K75 so he'd be a good resource for pics of how it attaches.

If you can fit one on an LT then I see no reason why it wouldn't work on an RS. Can't say that I've ever seen a K11RS with a low seat though. You'll have to ditch the side covers. The K75 tanks are slightly smaller than a K100/K1100 tank which might make fitting the tank surround thing less than perfect - not 100% sure. Do some searching here to see if you can find pics of the K11LT with a low seat.

the fuel tanks are the same size, there is a tank wrap that is used with the stock low seat but I was told with the corbin you do not need the tank wrap.

The stock low seat is very uncomfortable. Is the corbin better? I already have all the mounting parts from my low seat and woudl be interested if you look to sell it.

Don't despair! I'll be posting 'staged' photos of the low seat installed on my LT for all to scrutinize...
And yes, I would like to sell it to the right person...in due time.
