In a discussion with a member here, this come out of my thoughts:
The way I see it is this: the K11 is a top heavy, noisy, buzzy, hot as hell field mule of a bike. It’s not for every one, that’s for sure.
But if you want a solid, hard working, fastish, unrefined tourer that’s fairly easy to work on, it might be just the right bike.
I'm sure you have your own... _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

"Pennies to maintain" What J O would have said.
Sorry Shogs, cannot agree with unrefined.
Mind you, over 5K revs in a low gear, Hooligan mode takes over.
Even the horns have an air of gentlemanly approach. _________________ Regards Tim,

Jeeeeezzzz what a disappointment, just when I thought I had found the perfect bike.
As for the heat...... at my age a little heat between the legs is a good thing!! _________________ "I don't believe in the after life, although I am bringing a change of underwear." - Woody Allen

A properly tuned K1100 is not buzzy.
Brick: Solid, dependable and heavy. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Hi guys....
My K1100RS was a great dependable bike. And yes even I could work on it. I miss it for that known dependability. Ala the K1200GT although good so far has a questionable future concerning dependability. But the old brick did burn my thighs a couple times with the heat in the desert. Oh and it was fast but not as fast as the GT.
Now about that 1600GT....hehehe _________________ Mike Gullery
