Blue or none - because I'm the one who has to take it apart next time.

I used blue on the '95 this spring when I put it back together.

None; when i got the bike i had to dismantle them and had to get a welder to help me to loosen them - new pivots then needed. Never again; just tighten up well and put on a blue pen etc mark across the bolt/locknut/casing. None come loose yet and removal for lubing etc still tough but non destructive; keep an eye on the blue marking.

NO locktight please, you have a locking nut on the outside.
If you find the pin tight / suspect someone have applied locktight, heat the pin up with a gasol burner until spit on it will fry and then lose the pin.
Today we put a 6 mm allenkey on 1/2" socket and folish enogh broke the key in the pin. Evil or Very Mad , then tried to drill it out ,, impossible ,,, and finally heated it up and turned it with a wrench.
Thread gone,, allen key stucked in the hole,,, have to order a new pin tomorrow.
It could have been me on the tools but I only looked and should have told the wrencher to take it easy.
Anyhow we have to wait for new pin some days.
So please no locktight.
