Hello fellow k hoppers. Thought I would mention about seals being sold on ebay to fit k1100 ,s .Recently bought some only to find that they are 10 mm in thickness not 7.5 mm as original . They still fit but don't allow room for the retaining clips .Waiting on a 8mm replacement should be able to fit clip with a squeeze thats if they show up.

If they are the Pyramid brand they won't fit either. BTDT

I even tried grinding the edges down that extra .5mm to fit the circlips. They lasted 1 year and were leaking again.
Replaced them with the Marzoochi (bmw) seals that were supposed to be in there and haven't had any problems since.

The bmw ones arent cheap, but if they fit correctly and you dont have to do them again, in the long run there cheaper!!! Waiting on mine from Max bmw right now, Hopefully have them beginning of next week so i can get the bike back together, Its killing me not being able to ride.. LOL LOL

Compared to some other things, the price for the OEM ones isn't THAT bad. I bought a couple at the stealer the other day for ~$20 each.

Yep they were the pyramid brand , thanks that will save me waisting time trying to fit the 8mm if they ever show up, has been 4 weeks since they said they were posted . The 10mm seals are currently in the forks with no clip , so will be interesting to see if they remain in place. They were a petty tight fit and were already in when I realized the clips would not fit figured I might as well leave them and see what happens .Running boots even if it fails shouldn't be to messy, will definately get me home .Cheers AUSBRICK

Pretty sure the seals I got from the bmshop in Brisbane were about A25 dollars each and fitted perfectly.
