Well folks, I'm booked up to and from the continent.
I'm riding my K1100RS from Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK all the way to the Atlas mountains of Morocco for a 10 day tour. 15 days of riding in total.
UK via Channel Tunnel then onto Spain crossing over the Pyranees from the West coast of France just along from Biarritz and then down for the ferry and sun, heat, and some of the most remote and technical roads on offer.
This is going to be an absolutely awesome adventure and possibly the toughest ride this bike has ever done in it's 17 years and 55K miles.
And I wonder if I'll be the first person to ever route through Morocco on a K1100RS?
Many pics will be supplied on completion of the trip.
I'm sooo excited. My two travelling companions have brand new BMW GS adventurer bikes.
I think all my trusty steed needs (recently had new fork seals and a full major service) is the coolant mixture changed for the climate.
Trip of a lifetime... gonna be extra heaped awsomeness!!!
So glad I bought this bike - I intended a scandinavian trip initially... bring it on!
cheers |

Wow, sounds awesome! Just wondering if you might want to remove the lowers to provide better cooling airflow (to you and the bike) - have never done it myself but have seen bikes set up that way. _________________ 2012 R1200RT Midnight Blue

I've just arrived from a holiday trip that included two stops in Morocco: Casablanca and Agadir. Would't mind in going back again right now, but this time with my K in the group ride you're planning...
Good luck and don't forget to document the whole experience here in K11OG! _________________ Carlos
