Myself and the boys went on a trip from Savannah, Ga to Jacksonville, Fla recently. Gauge was working before the ride. Got down to Jax to our destination and finally realized that the fuel gauge was stuck at a needles width over 1/2 with 195 miles on the ticker. No low level light either. When I filled up, the gauge went to full as advertised and the same occurance happened coming home, stuck at half and no light. I know the light works. Thank God we got off when we did or I would still be on the side of the road.
Sending unit? Gauge? I did have have the tank off recently. I haven't had a chance to dig into it yet I am but just getting some ides if another rider has had this same issue. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the ping pong ball isn't going all of the way down. Take the gas cap off to investigate. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

And right you are! Give that man a cigar. Actually the fuel filter had shifted to the right and was impeding the ping ball arm. So I pushed it over and it is all better. Now I got to keep it over there. I changed the filter few weeks ago. Maybe I left it pretty close and it vibrated over. _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!
