Gang,

At his request, I am posting Nekkid pictures of Roy's (bike) as "Flying Duck" was putting it back together.

A little history..... Roy bought this bike ~2 yrs ago as a project bike. Engine ran but rear end was shot (stripped splines & clutch problems too). Drake flew in from Washington (3 day ride) on his K75 & is helping Roy get this bike up and running (all in a weekend!).

By the time I got there around noon on Saturday a new clutch was already in. In the four hours I was there the entire rear end was put back together and the bike was ready for parking lot testing.

Here we go.....

Rear brake with ABS gap set using feeler guage (from BMW tool kit)

Exhaust manifold with O2 sensor lead (in Drake's hand)

I hooked up the header bolts (no picture) while Drake hooked up the exhaust pipe (picture below)

Here's Roy S. worshipping the rear end of his K11LT goddess.....

Roy sez "Look at my (bike's) shiny behind" ArmorAll cleans up everything Smile

The alternator is going in

No not yet.... Inspect monkey nutz & a dash of ArmorAll again...

Alternator going in: Take 2

Fumbling towards esctasy

Finally in after rotating 120 degrees

Adding the luggage rack hardware

Turned bike on and it fired right up (with 2 year old gas in the tank!)

Congratulations Roy!

Sanjiv

That's actually a North Face Vaporwick shirt. Actually cooler than a cotton T on a hot day. Breathes quite well and any sweat cools you as it evaporates. I Was wearing jeans though, needed some shorts for that heat.

Cool Cool Cool Cool

Thank you both...

I'm just getting up and around and moving/waking up from an event that will last a lifetime in my mind

Drake is a very focused and driven marathon man and I am forever in his debt.

Sanjiv was instrimentle in rolling up his sleeves and helping out.

I have to give Roy some credit here. He didn't know exactly what he was doing but he had the balls to tear the bike apart down to the clutch assembly and did a great job of keeping the parts and hardware in order. That made it MUCH easier to put it back together.

Awesome! If we ever do a charity auction I think "Win Drake for the Weekend" should be the Grand Prize!
