I went riding with a couple of friends this evening. The husband is the one who inspired me to buy my K1100LT. He's really into motorcycles and has 32 bikes of various persuasions.
This evening was dedicated to the color MYSTIC RED!!!
For anyone who's interested, here's a shot of my LT with the Rancho Boots installed. I don't think they look bad at all.
Gotta love springtime in Colorado! _________________ 1996 K1100LT 26,xxx miles-SOLD

They look a hell of a lot better than the repair bill would for new fork seals.
32 bikes!

Nice ride!
I just installed a set of 2 stage Works fork springs about a thousand miles ago when I had to do the left seal's AGAIN! Just did em last summer.
Those fork tubes really like to be clean! The Traxxion guards I had on just did not keep enough road dirt & grit off the fork legs.
You'll like the boots.

I knew I made the right decision in installing the boots when I took this picture. Just after I took the picture, I inspected the boots to make sure the tye wraps were holding everything in place properly. I was surprised to find several big bug splatters on the boots that would have otherwise hit the shiny fork tube.
The seals would have wiped the bugs off eventually, but I'm sure there would have been some [albeit minor] erosion of the seals which would have started the clock ticking again for the next round of seal replacement.
I'd rather spend my time riding than wrenching. The cost was negligible. They don't look bad. I can't imagine NOT installing them and, really, I'm surprised they're not standard equipment.
I had a new tire installed at the local independent shop last Saturday. This 1969 Honda CB750 was on display. It has boots, too!
