Looks as if I'll have to finally sell my K. Sad to see it go but I'd rather it went to someone here than selling it on ebay.
This is my trusty K1100 LT SE. I’ve had it for just over 3 years and it has been looked after by BMW guru, Garry Webb for the whole time.
Good points:
Very reliable
Wider rear wheel
Hi-level brake light
Full luggage
New, bigger screen
Corbin dual sport seat
Additional drive lights
HID headlight conversion
heated grips work!
fork guards
good tyres
Replaced over the last 3 years:
Rear of ignition switch
Clutch
Clutch cable (spare included
Rad fan
Screen rails and relays
Fuel regulator
Steering bearings
Fork seals
Gel battery... and probably more which I've forgotten!
Weak points:
Radio packed up
Screen not working (though I'm quite sure it's something minor since almost all parts are new!)
Panniers need repainting
small scratch on tank
High mileage (120k miles)
Top box doesn't lock
Pics will be available soon.
Anyone here interested can email me on hirschhsATyahoodotcodotuk
If I don't get any interest in the next week, I'll ebay it. _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________

well just to update this for the last time, it went on ebay for my reserve (£850)
Sad to see it go and sad it didn't make more. Someone's getting a heck of a lot of bike for that beer money - picking up later today. I'll encourage him to join the group.
Meanwhile my Pan is going nicely but if I'm honest, I prefer the riding position of the old K.

Evening Steve, I was one of the "watchers", I thought It was your bike, but the sellers name gave no clue. Do pop in & visit us occasionally. _________________ Regards Tim,

Steve,
Welcome to an unadvertised corner of the K11OG forum- F.O.K.O. (Friends Of K1100 Owners), although I am only a prospective member- I still have my K-RS in the garage.
I have not had the chance to place it on eBay, but SWMBO keeps making noise about when it might get sold. Today I did receive an offer through Craig'sList that was similar to a Nigerian 419 scam.
Please don't become a stranger here. I do plan on staying around to post and annoy the members.

thanks gents.
Yeah, let's have a FOKO!
In fact this may drag on because the chap who 'bought' it hasn't paid the deposit, hasn't turned up when he said he would and so far has been unreliable and uncommunicative. I'm waiting to see what happens tonight as he's supposed to appear for collection with cash but I'd lay odds he won't - in which case, I'll cancel the sale. And then what??!

First, report him to EBay as a deadbeat buyer. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

I judged too soon.. he arrived tonight - nice chap, not used to email or ebay hence the lack of comms. Anyway he took the bike without a quibble (there was nothing to quibble about) but he also bought Andrea's Diversion which is great as we were going to sell it anyway!
So I'm sad to lose the lovely K but happy to sell the very rough Diversion!
Life's funny ain't it... _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________
