Greetings,
Skip in New Hampshire here (transplanted from Connecticut). I am a true newbie in most terms...
New to this forum
New to ANY forum (as shown with my non-creative user name)
New (to me) K1100RS, and 1st BMW
But, NOT a newbie to riding! Bought my 1st bike when I was 13, a Can-Am 200 enduro... couldn't even touch the ground.
Have had all sorts of American and Japanese cycles that I have enjoyed many thousands of miles, and as of this month I am greatly enjoying the German engineering. Of course... I think of bikes as I think of beer and women... they all deserve some love and enjoyment!
My rides have brought me as far east as PEI, and west to Zion Nat'l Park. Although, my miles are recently reduced to mostly my commute since my daughter was born April of 2009. Unfortunately, my wife has been ride-less until we find a babysitter or a way to mount the seat to the Givi platform.
Ok, enough about me... I will be reviewing all the mechanic tips on this site, and have already read and successfully accomplished how to shift without missing (thanks to K11OG!!). Found it is exactly the opposite as my Road King, which is sitting in the garage next to the K1100 on this rainy/snowy New England day.
Some time this weekend I'll post my mug in the link I saw, and possibly some K11 pics this weekend.
Cheers! _________________ 1994 K1100RS

Another K1100 owner in NH!!
Welcome to the looney bin.
We are a bit north of you, but hopefully we can get the NH "chapter" together for a group ride.
But until then (as you already indicated) we need pictures of your RS. _________________ John & Cathy

Thank you much guys,
4th member of the NH chapter... sounds great! Although, at your current growth rate, looks like I'll be buying for quite some time to come!
Luckily I go by my life long nickname (Skip) and not my first name, or my user name would be "Ernie in NH II".
Pics this weekend, or when there is sun again.

Thanks Scott... Sounds like you are referring to the Virginia event...
The price is right
The timing is good (my wife and daughter are traveling to see her parents for 3 weeks in May)
All I need is a floor and my sleeping bag (and Scotch and Cigars)
I'll post my request to join in under the Meetings forum. _________________ 1994 K1100RS

Welcome Skip, your mention of Zion NP brouht back memories of when we toiured through there back in '94. Awesome place that, big rocks! and that tunnel through one of them you drive through.
Would love to ride through there again and the surrounds. _________________ K1100RS '97
