So the cooling fan quit today on my 93 LT. I have a parts 85 k100 lt. The fan is good
,Will it work on my 1100lt?

The fan was working yesterday when I was out but today it just quit. At first
I was thinking relay but when I got home everything checked good till I turned the fan by
Hand and it was locked up tighter than a virgin on prom night.

Other than the wire pigtail on the '85 fan will most likely be too short to reach the plug on your '93, it should work just fine. You will need to extend the pigtail by splicing some longer wire leads.

I also got the fan with my recent radiator aquisition(85 3core). I considered using the fan but the wire was too short and I didn't feel like I wanted to extend it at this point. AND it was also siezed up. I did free it up and test it and it did work and still turns free today. I'll keep it as a "just in case" spare.

You might try and free the stuck one. Generally it's just stuck in the bushing/bearing ends. That's were mine was stuck. Some have freed them without any issues.

Thanks for the info. I got the wire's extended and put the 3 core in while I was at it. Fired it up and everything is working much better now.

Can't wait to see the difference out on the road as to how well the 3 core work's. Took alot longer to get up to temp tonight with it sitting there then it used to. Very Happy
