Here's a nice, low mileage, LT at our local friendly but expensive BMW dealer here in SE Virginia (Adventure BMW) for a very reasonable price.
No affiliation other than they have received a lot of my money before I learned to wrench on my own!
http://norfolk.craigslist.org/mcy/1649921700.html
Here's a link to the ad on their website.
http://www.adventurebmw.com/pre_owned_detail.asp?sid=3022403E-02X3K18K2010J7I04I24JPMQ3927R0&veh=1597861
They're usually pretty good about giving all their pre-owned bikes a thorough going over (full services) before offering anything for sale.
If anyone wants me to check this out, just holler! _________________ Steve

Boy, that's a good price. They must really want if off the floor if they're selling it for that price and listing it on CL. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

For that price and only 37K miles, makes one say hmmmmmmm, what's wrong with it. Especially from a stealer. _________________ Ride safe.

Damn, that is cheap! I guess my bike is only worth a lot to me! It doesn't seem that long ago that I paid $9750.00 for it, but I guess it has been nine years - nine pretty good years. I still love my K - don't have any reason to replace it - even with some drawbacks and quirks. _________________ Jim

Wonder how little they gave the PO? $1000-1200? More? Less? _________________ John & Cathy

Went by today and checked it out. Spoke with the head sales guy who I've known for years. I said what's wrong with it, he said, "it's fourteen years old and we'd like it gone."
I checked it out, looks pretty good, a little bit of weathering and a few paint chips and aging type issues. Nothing a little TLC wouldn't clean up.
Bonuses, it has a Hagon shock, Throttlemeisters, crash bars, good tires (plenty of tread left).
The sales guy said the PO traded it on a new GS and they didn't really want to take it, but they also really wanted to sell the guy a new bike, so there it is. He said they try not to take in bikes with more than 36K on them or more than five years old. They also have a nice GS1200 with 79K on it that they also reluctantly took in (on the same day) and are asking $6900 for that.
He said they've serviced it for the last year, and they'll change all the fluids, but are not going to give it a "complete" servicing. No warranty, as is, due to the age.
So, for $2900 it's a good buy for a nicely set up bike, it just needs some cleaning up and a bit of freshing up. Also, at 37K it will be, or is due for a spline lube. _________________ Steve

For what its worth, I just paid $2500 for a 93 K1100LT that looks just like that only not as good condition I think. Mine is running good and in for fork seals right now so I'll have $2900 in it when I get it out. My fairing has some cracks and mirrors are all nicked up from falling over in the guys garage (supposedly). Came with new tires and the ABS blinking. Also the red triange on all the time.
My bike has some rattle that sounds like cam chain but could be something else. Seemed to get a little better with an oil change. I thought mine was a steal at the price I paid. _________________ Mike Holbrook

Yea, I think our bikes have reached that low point where the actual value is pretty low, and they're not old enough to be "classics" yet. Oh well, mine's paid for and is still running great, so it's worth something to me.
On your issues, a new batery would likely cure those flashing lights, these bikes are very sensitive to low voltage, even though there is enough juice to start the bike.
Enjoy your new ride! _________________ Steve

I don't think that a dealer wanting to dump a piece of inventory they took on a trade-in to sell a new bike is indicative of anything. They want to get rid of it quickly so they priced it low. BFD. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
