Hello guys,

I was initially looking at windscreens and jackets from a few months back as a long shot they might be available. I didn't hold my breath but, folks were kind enough to respond and let me know they were sold.

I currently ride a 96 K1100RS (red)with only 28K miles on it. I live here in San Antonio, TX but mainly owned sportbikes prior to this K bike. Last sportourer was a 95 Kaw Concours. This K bike has been a step up from the concours but, everyone who ride beemers tells me to check out the GS or RT models. I just got rid of a Ducati, R1 and my wife's Ninja 250. Maybe we'll upgrade to a bigger bike down the road. I am personally holding my breath for that 1098 or 998 I have always wanted. I like to do track days and I know I'll be jonesing for one come end of this month. We have had an oddly cold winter this year. We don't get snow but add in the rain at 39 degrees...it feels like visiting my wife's parents in Seattle. The heated grips come in handy.

I was fortunate enough to drive the K bike up to the Indy GP in 08 and last year drove out to Sedona, AZ. Bike held up nice. I decided to buy a tomtom, got throttlemeisters and soft grips put on the bike at a dealership in chandler during that trip. I thought I was riding a Caddy after that...they did in fact drop my bike while they were changing the oil. They were very cool about the repairs and paint job. Most expensive oil change for them. The bike looks much newer..I told them they had permission to drop it on the other side too and I would even put on the panniers for them! No go.

Anywho...

So look forward to the post and commadarie...

Luis,

Looks like you have some of the same interests.

Unfortunately the closest I'm getting to a 1098 is when I occasionally ride my son's Monster. Otherwise the '93 RS provides my current amusement.

And I just signed Jen (daughter) and I up for an April track day. It's her first and I haven't been on the track since club racing 30+ years ago.

By the way an Aeroflow on a K1100RS is a GREAT add-on. I have one and use it when I need to do long, fast miles and /or more than an hour or two two-up. It really changes the bike from sport-touring to touring-sport.

If I haven't already said it, WELCOME.

John
