where does the connector for the clutch cutout switch terminate or connects to the main harness? and what color are the wires?

Under the tank.

On the switch side of the connector it's yellow and yellow. On the wiring harness side it's Green/Black and Black/Green.

But it's probably the switch that's failed.

I'am inclined to go with a failed switch also. My (blue95lt) wouldn't start in gear one day,put it in neutral and start fine.I took out the switch and the little plunger wouldn't come out anymore.the spring inside broke!
So I have one on order. just my 2 cents. keith

Douche that puppy up with WD-40 and see if it loosens up. Worked for me on my sidestand switch. Let it soak for a while then teased the little nubbin out with a sharp point.

I'm another member of the failed clutch lever switch club. Spin out the old one, replace it with the new.

Sounds like you might be a new recruit Crying or Very sad But you can always try the clean out routine described above- nothing to lose at this point- maybe you'll get lucky.
