It would be cool as all get out for those heading south to hook up along the way.
:fingerscrossed
For example, maybe Scott, Jim, Ted and I could meet at some exit off I-81 and meet those coming south from NY and NH? _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

So if it is a 4 night event, then I will be sending off the correct funds. I guess I was confused also
Gwen, there should be 3 of us (Paul, Darryl and I) when we pick up Ernie at his place south of me. HOPEFULLY we will be able to collect OTG when we get west of the NYC Metro area.
Thanks again for all your efforts.
BTW, like your Subaru? Cathy was a diehard VW driver until she bought her Outback 2 years ago.

Hi Gwen,
Have just made my Pay Pal payment to you hope you receive it ok, just let me know if theres a problem with it, also Darryl tells me he to as made his payment.
We will be riding down with John from NH and we will stay for the 4 nights and then head out on the Monday morning and have a good look around the area down there before heading back up north.
We are easy with whichever cabin you put us in, perhaps with John might be the best, but "does he snore !!", Darryl does a bit but I have got use to him over the years and if he gets to bad with it I just make him sleep outside, so I hope all the snow will have gone for his sake.
Looks like you are doing a GREAT job so MANY THANKS from NZ

HEY- I have never heard me snore
So I have no problems sleeping in the same cabin with a couple of Kiwis, Ernie or even OTG- even if Dave does complain if you get up before noon. _________________ John & Cathy

I was going to go with the 20th - 23rd; arrive Thursday and depart Sunday.
Anyone who is planning to arrive Friday and depart Sunday (21 - 23) will need to let me know. |
| SugarHillCTD wrote: | I would prefer and voted for 20-23.
Ernie (who knows folks in the area) tells me that we have a 1+ day trip so if it ends up being 20-23 we would get there midday on Thursday after a long day on Wednesday.
Do most people leave in the morning of the last day (Sunday) ? |

| Shoganai wrote: | Cabin prices are:
Each cabin is $112 per night.
That’s $488 per cabin for four nights.
3 cabins x four nights is $1344 for Thursday 20th, Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd night. . |
Alrighty then. :sigh
With Jim being the Head Cat Herded when I read his post, “Looks like most are in for the 20th - 23rd. If some people want to show up for 3 days instead of 4, that's fine.”
I took that to mean if I booked the cabins for four nights, then people would be free to come and go as they wished. So if you leave Sunday or Monday that’s up to you.
I set the price per person to cover the total cost of the cabin rentals, without regards to the planned length of stay of individual members.
So if you stay three nights, your cost per night is $ 23.66
If you stay four nights, your cost per night is $ 17.75
It’s still a good price per nights stay.
That was the only way I could come close to guarantying there would be enough cabins for everyone. I had to do that because I can’t book beds, just cabins.
Please forgive me if I messed up, I’ve never done anything like this.

FWIW I was thinking about us putting together a Taco Buffet one night.
Mexican Buffet Suggestions
Seasoned lean Ground Beef
Seasoned chopped Chicken
1. olives
2. sour cream
3. tomatoes
4. lettuce
5. guacamole
6. flour tortillas for burritos
7. Corn Tortillas
8. Cheddar Cheese, shredded
9. Hot sauce
10. enchilada sauce
11. onions
12. fresh Pico de Gallo
13. peppers
Spanish Rice
Baked Refried beans
Black beans, seasoned and topped with chopped sweet onions
Chips
Fresh Salsa & chili cheese dip
Taco Salad set up.
Baked Sweet Potatoes with butter and cinnamon.
And to top it off…
Mexican Coffee!
This piping hot drink combines the tastes of tequila, Kahlua, brandy and Rompope-all Mexican originals-with coffee. Topped with whipped cream, it is a dramatic, delicious way to end a chilly winter evening. Serves eight.
8 cups steaming coffee or decaf
4 ounces tequila
4 ounces Kahlua
4 ounces brandy
4 ounces Rompope (a creamy vanilla Mexican liqueur) or Irish Cream if unavailable
whipped cream to garnish
Heat four mugs by placing in hot water. Into heated mugs, add half an ounce each of tequila, Kahlua, brandy and Rompope. Top off with hot coffee or decaf and whipped cream.
Serve immediately in front of a roaring fire.
Just a thought… _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

No problem Shogs, thanks for doing all the leg work. I think I'm in for the 20th-23rd, three nights, Thurs, Fri, Sat, leaving Sunday.
I'll get funds to you soon. If you need to bump the price up a bit to cover the fourth night, I have no problem with that, it's still cheap lodging. _________________ Steve
