|
|
Info an the product in question:
http://www.bikevis.com/motorcycle-led-running-lights.html
One of our UK members just installed a set and is quite happy with them
http://www.k11og.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7818
I"m traveling a fair amount in the near future so I am not volunteering to be the organizer but I will set up this thread.
Depending on the quantity, I'm not sure if we'll get a quantity break but we can save a fair amount on shipping if all interested US riders buy at once. Although on their website a single pair (white, I don't think blue is legal in the US) is £12.95(about $21.60) and two pairs is £22.95(about $38.30) so at least we could get that discount. Shipping seems to be £8.95($15) no matter how many pairs are ordered. They could probably be shipped in the US in a USPS Small Flat Rate Box (free ot your local post office) for about $5.
(I'm assuming we should all get white since blue would be pretty illegal and get you a ticket pretty quickly but if you want blue then those are about £2($3.34) per pair more it seems.)
1) Anyhow, what US member wants to volunteer to take the lead? hirschhs has volunteered to take the lead on calling and hopefully negotiating some sort of possible price reduction.
2) Who is in and for how many pairs?
I can keep a master list in this thread:
Duck - 2 pair white
SugarHill - 3 pair white
Johnny - poke in the eye with a sharp stick AND 2 pair white
Jim - 1 pair white, 1 pair blue (livin' on the edge), 1 podmod
Express your interest below in this thread and I'll keep this list updated. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

hey Steve - I'll deal with shipping on this end.
Can you check to see if they'll give you a price break on a podmod, please? Even if they won't, I'll take one - should save something on shipping if it comes with everything else. _________________ Jim

I can't open the thread for some reason.
does it replace the 1156 in the running light socket? My rears go out all the time. I would love to put something else in there?
If it is just me let me know. i have cut and pasted, etc. More light on the back is ALWAYS good.

Try using BMW bulbs - they're slightly lower wattage, but they are a better bulb.
No, these are running lights - they are not designed to take the place of any of your existing lights. _________________ Jim

OK chaps, here's the final count up:
9 * Bullet Kits (will do blue same price) - £98.55 (10.95 each)
1 * PodMod @ 17.95 (£2 off)
1 * Airsure to USA @ £8.95
TOTAL - £125.45
I think we've got a good deal there, all in pound sterling of course.
If people can send their own costs plus the postage division to me I'll get on with the ordering, Dan tells they have plenty of stock so he can get them out as soon as I pay.
Please pm me for my email address unless you already have it so that you can make a paypal payment.
And Jim, I still need an address to post to! _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________

Thanks, Steve.
US $ = $18.01 per light set
$29.62 for the podmod
$3.70 shipping (per person) - this shipping charge is to get the lights to the US. There will be an additional nominal shipping charge to get the lights delivered in the US.
It looks like a better deal in pounds sterling than it does in US $... _________________ Jim

Jim:
What would probably make your life easiest is to ship them in Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Boxes. ($4.95 to ship anywhere in the US.)
You can order them at the link below and the post office delivers them to your door for free.
https://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10052&productId=10001641&langId=-1&WT.ac=HolidayPMPromo-SMALL-FRBV
So the total for each buyer would be:
$18.01 x number of kits (+ $29.62 for the Podmod)
$3.70 per person for shipping from UK
$4.95 per person for mailing in US
How should we do the payment? The first two to Steve and then $4.95 to Jim? _________________ 93 LT (x2)

So for two white kits I PayPal you:
$18.01 for Kit #1
$18.01 for Kit #2
$3.70 for mailing
Total: $39.72
Which in pounds converts to 23.85 GBP so I PayPal you 24 GBP for two sets and we're good, right? _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Note that different financial institutions have different exchange rates - look at the paypal conversion when you send Steve your payment. _________________ Jim
