Is there anyone that knows a proper alternative for a K100 thermostat (same fitted in the 1100). I have seen some prices for originals and feel ripped off before I have even spend my money! Thanks, Rene _________________ Cheers, Rene

I can understand what you mean but to be honest the prices i've looked at so far for wearable parts don't seem too bad, in some cases no worse than Jap OE spares, some of which can be horrendously pricey.
The only way I can suggest is to take the stat and have a wander through halfords comparing it against all the display ones they have, see if you get lucky like that?
Some years ago I used to read Practical Classics and Car Restorer and they ran a series of 'like for like' sheets which listed all imaginable parts which may be interchangeable and you looked up, say a set of brake pads, find your car and then read the list to see every other car which used the same part number, great idea, unfortunately i've never seen it done since and there are many bike bits that are used across other models. |

I read this over at the Flying Brick Website:

They suggest a thermostat from a Toyota Corolla. _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!
