Well the Wife decided where she wants to go for the vacation, so in two weeks off to England for four nights in the Cotswalls, staying at some place called Oxhill, near Oxford? Will make day trips out in all directions.
We are going there by way of Hull. Now this may not sound right for the more well informed but the thing is the Wife loves the night boat to Hull, and refuses to go anywhere near the tunnel. Will head south out of Hull staying off the major highways, mostly Axxx roads, any idea how long the route will take to get to , say, Oxford? If I don't get too lost.
Never been to that area, have spent the last four trips in the North and knew some good places to stop; Devils bridge, the Milk Bar and one or two other places. Know absolutely nothing about where we are now headed. Anybody got some recommendations or suggestions. _________________ 1995 K1100RS

Hull, Peterborough, Northamton, Oxford.
You'd pass where I live.
But Oxhill is a fair way from Oxford nearer to Stratford on Avon I think. Still the same route til Northampton then you'll need to go across country towards Banbury.
More than happy to help with other info.. or more precise mapping, coffe on route, day out advice etc _________________ Cheers, Steve H _______________________________________

Suggest Jim, you leave Hull as quickly as possible, if you wish to keep your wheels. If you want picturesque, then Moreton in Marsh, Broadway, Stow on the Wold, are for you.
Oxhill is indeed in Warwickshire, Motor Museum @ Gaydon, Coventry Cathedral (new & old), Coventry Museum of transport, There's more to Stratford than Shakespeare, river cruise perhaps. _________________ Regards Tim,

I think I know what you mean. Been through there the last five trips, and returning to Holland. Don't think I what to leave the bike out on the street there. Usually try to get out of town as qiick as possible, during a week day real murder, then off the motor wat as soon as possible, or as in this case over the Humber bridge. The rest an easy drive to the south looking for some nice tea houses alonf the way. _________________ 1995 K1100RS
