Quick vote if you please. Decided to finally purchase a Nav Sys. Of course they have made it harder by adding new versions, so some help is needed. Tom Tom Rider2, Garmin 550 or the 660. Price is not an issue, everything is exspense here. Must be easy to use (idiot proof), will want to interchange with another bike, blue tooth operation (load some sexy voice in there to tell me where to go.

Thanks, I know you all will not steer me wrong Very Happy

Do you plan on using it for music and/or satellite radio? If so, the Zumo 550 is your only Garmin choice as the 660 will not accomodate satellite radio. However, the 660 is more advanced and has a larger screen. As if it wasn't a difficult enough choice already, right?

The Garmin interface is the best out there by FAR and I own all 3 of the major brands. (Garmin, Magellon, TomTom)

Jim,

I have an idea. If "price is not an issue", why not buy everyone participating in this thread a new GPS?! Mr. Green
I like the 660... pretty please Wink

Jim,

I just read some good reviews for the 550 and bad reviews for the 660.

I found them at GPS City. I thought they might be helpful to you.

Well promies have been made, money has exchanged hands and I'm now the new owner of a Garmin Zumo 550. they had a display side by side with the 660. Both the same price ( he told me the lowered the price on the 550 so they would still sell). Also picked up a program that is out by the motorcycle division of their equivilent of the AAA, the ANWB, that is used for making routes in 50 lands in Europe and has already 800 planned ready to use routes.

Thank everyone for your help and advice, it will be put to good use.

Congrats! Zumo forums is going to be your best friend for the next few weeks. And to answer you question up front, yes, Mapsource is a PIA to learn and use. Once you get the hang of it's pretty easy to work with..
