I'm not sure how many members here know Tyler Risk, but I know Johnny O is familiar with her.

Tyler is a very active motorcyclist in the Bay Area community. She runs her own female oriented riding group called Dangerous Curves as well as NorthStar Moto Tours. She's a vibrant character, well known and respected in the community.

She is the one in the bright blue jacket in this photo:

Tyler was enroute to Yellowstone to meet up with some friends on a 2 week ride. She had a small group in tow with her. A big rig was stopped at a 3 way intersection and not moving. She went to move up on the right to continue and the truck suddenly decided to move and turn right. Her bike was trapped under the truck and the truck ran over her legs and pelvis.

She is currently in serious, but stable condition at a hospital in Boise.

More information can be found here:

Long term prognosis isn't known. I have no idea if she'll ever be able to walk or ride again or if that's more an issue of time than anything else.

She has helped so many in motorcycling. If you could spend just a moment to send some positive energy her way, it might help.

I hope she can recover fast and go back to ride again soon.

Sorry to hear about this. I'm sorry when ever any motorcyclist is injured.

I will say a prayer for her in the hopes of a speedy recovery.
