Only if you count Reagan. I don't think anyone has really given President Obama a chance yet. If you're just prejudiced, this is probably not the best place to display your prejudice.

As many people that dislike him because he is black, there are as many people that like him because he is 1. Not bush. 2. Not a Republican.

"Like" is a stretch though.

"The best pick out of 2 bad choices" is a better bet.

I think our situation that he inherited is so bad that it wouldn't matter if Jesus took office.

Just for the record, I voted for Obama and donated to his campaign, twice. I think he is the most intelligent, realistic, and genuine president we've had in a long time.

I think the doubters will be silenced soon enough.

I just think it's ironic that the people who voted for Bush (2x) don't seem to acknowledge thier mistake(s), as if he was somehow appointed.

Well, there was this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bush_v._Gore

and this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_United_States_election_voting_controversies

It should be interesting to watch the spin and see how things turn out for Ahmadinejad.

It is heartening to see, for a change, that the peer group in one of my hobbies (unlike hunting and restoring old Jeeps) shares the same political/idealogical views as I.

I would think that the original poster would take note of the lack of support for his views and refrain, or at least wait for something with merit, from contributing such nonsense.

Oh well...

Keep those cards and letters coming, Roy. There are some here who support some of your views, don't think Bush is evil incarnate (but don't agree with all he did, either), and don't believe Obama is God. I, for one, believe politics has no place on this list unless it directly relates to motorcycles and/or motorcycling. I would be happy to see the Dungeon removed and anyone voicing political opinions, unless related to motorcycles, tossed off the list. That's how I feel; others feel differently.

Right on Phil - plenty of other places on the web to exchange ones view of

the world besides K11OG!

And it is a Penn. plate.

Interesting Phil,

On one hand you encourage Roy to continue posting politically motivated topics, but on the other you think anyone posting politically motivated topics should be tossed.

And a poster who has been nothing but respectful and supportive during hard times is told to "get out of America" if he questions the direction the government is taking our once-great country.

Kinda sucks to get slapped in the face when you have been nothing but cool to someone, but hey, people surprise you.

Who is the true patriot? The one who has the American flag pin on their cap and accepts everything at face value while watching American Idol? Or the one who questions, who challenges, who does not accept our current situation?

What would our country be like if our forefathers just accepted tyranny?

And they didn't even have American Idol and little American flag pins.

If politically motivated topics are permitted (and they are), I encourage Roy to keep on posting them. I still believe they have no place on the K1100 list and it was a mistake to have the "Dungeon". I would prefer the "Dungeon" be eliminated and everyone told that politics have no business on the list (unless discussing something RELATED TO MOTORCYCLES or MOTORCYCLING) and, if you, Roy, OTG, me, whomever, persists in posting such from either the Republican / Democratic / Liberal / Conservative /whichever side of the political spectrum, you should be tossed off the list.

Smile
Wouldn’t it be a dull forum if one was not allowed to vent as to anything one wishes?
This is by far the best BMW forum around. The fact that one can vent/express one’s self on most any topic (The Dungeon) is very refreshing. I for one feel that spirited debates are healthy, and view points/thoughts different than my own have prompted me to explore other views.

This is one of the greatest things you have ever wrote, so I am quoting it.
