I think this is a motorcyclist worse nightmare. One more reason to drive as defensively as we can. This is no Joke....

I like the social aspect of riding. Rally's, socializing, drinking beer, fartin' and carrying on.

Close to 35 years ago my first GF and I sat eating ice cream looking toward a New York City intersection.
The traffic in the east/west direction came to a stop for a traffic light that had changed from yellow to red.
The south/north traffic started to flow through the intersection. The second vehicle going north was a motorcycle.
Apparently the slowing-to-stop for a red light traffic was too much of a slow down for the second vehicle- a VW bug- going west bound. The driver drove around the auto in front of it and went through a SOLID red light.
TO THIS DAY- I can see the bike rider being hit and going over the hood and roof of the VW. _________________ John & Cathy

I've gotten hit 2x on my road bike when training back in the day. Granted the speeds were much lower (25mph) but I was only wearing a helmet and Lycra.
That said, I always proceed through an intersection/stop sign like the other guy will not stop. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006
