I am hooking up some driving lights (Hella HID's) I understand that the HID's do not draw as much current as regular halogens. I am running the wiring for the relay, and figured I would pick up in the main power distribution box (under the tank). There is the starter motor relay that goes directly to battery. Am I safe to hook up there, or should I go directly to battery? Does it matter which terminal I attach to?
Thanks,
Joe |

Yes. Make sure you have a fuse in the circuit close to where it's hooked up to the starter relay power. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Thanks Drake...I got the fuse. Just did not know if I was better off to pull from battery.

For Aux lighting or other stuff you should be fine in the electrical box. When I ran the relay kit for my headlights I connected at the battery.
1. it was easier that trying to wire into the electrical box, and 2 if I needed to replace the fuse it was easier to access with out pulling the tank to get at it.
